Jewellery Care

1. Keep it dry - The number one rule for jewellery care is to keep it dry. Moisture is the enemy of most jewellery, and can tarnish your jewellery, making it more prone to corrosion. Similarly, chemicals like chlorine in pools or hot tubs can damage your jewellery. It's best to remove your jewellery before coming in contact with water.
2. Store it properly - When you're not wearing your jewellery, store it in a clean, dry, and safe place; this reduces tarnishing as metals may tarnish over time due to oxygen and natural body oils. Store each piece of jewellery separately to prevent scratching and tangling.
3. Keep it away from chemicals - Chemicals such as perfumes, lotions, and hairsprays can damage your jewellery. It's essential to apply these products before putting on your jewellery and let them dry completely. This will help prevent any chemical reactions that could tarnish or corrode your jewellery.
4. Handle with care - Avoid pulling or tugging at delicate chains or clasps to prevent breakage. Consider removing your jewellery before engaging in high level activities that could potentially damage it.
5. Keep clean - Handle your jewellery with clean hands to prevent transferring oils and dirt onto the pieces. Oil, dirt, and other substances can build up on your jewellery, you can clean it with mild soap and water. Then take a soft, dry lint free cloth, and simply wipe it down.
